Hello, I was born a Borcoski and also believe that the Schimanski's may be relatives or at least from the same area of Poland.

I'll definitely be at the talk on Wednesday.

Cheers

Hi to the friends, Family &
Administration of Linwood Cemetery.

I am really glad I got photos of my relatives graves b4 the Sept earthquake. The head stone of my ggandparents had already fallen down looked to me for some time. Plot No: Block number: 8 Plot number:38 SJG 1894 with husband William Gee & one of their daughters. This is a big marble head stone on the slop so not surprised it had fallen down at some stage.
I have other relatives in this & surrounding cemeteries I had heard recently that the eastern suburbs were going to be demolished due to liquid faction.
Is this going to be the case with the Linwood, Ruru Lawn, Bromley,& Memorial Cemeteries? Some of the head stones in other cemeteries are in the ground, others are tall monuments. Funny really My great Uncle was a stonemason so did a lot of stones for the Gee family & relatives.
At the end of the day my thoughts are with you & the massive task ahead of each & every cemetery in the area. I hope they are preservation for future generations.
I am in the process of constructing our family tree and hope the cemeteries in this area will be preserved.
I live in Australia, but wish I was there to help.
All of Canterburie's cemeteries are vital for our future generations who are interested in their heritage.
Since I have started this FT journey myself it is very critical for our heritage to be preserved & honored.
Both my great grandfathers worked on the Christchurch Cathedral & the Roman Basilica on Barbados street to name a few.

Kindest Regards

Netta Gee
