1. Frances Letitia beloved wife of William E. McDOUGALL died 18 Aug 1895 aged 74. Also William Euing McDOUGALL died 17th July 1903 aged 78. “Eye hath not seen nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him. 1 Cor2.9.”
2. ILMO Nita who died March 10th aged 7 years. Also Nellie who died March 16th 1889 aged 5 years. Children of Annie & the late Thos. TAYLER. “Safe in the arms of Jesus.”
3. Anne Livermore TAYLER wife of Thomas died 27 Apr 1943 aged 87
4. ILMO William Robert SIME died 16th Aug 1897 aged 33 years. Also his elder son Noel Roy killed in action … the … on or about 26th April 1915 aged 22 years. “Work wile ye play.” Also Janet Stirling SIME died 6th April 1936 aged 77. Widow of the late William Robert SIME.
Headstone Description
Plain concrete surround; ironwork not complete; pine needles cover site; ice plant also covers site; All headstones (4 in total) need various repairs.
1 – White marble blocks which would have made up a Calvary cross; lead lettering; cross missing; concrete plinth with white marble panel with verse on it; lead lettering.
2 = White marble Roman/Latin cross (missing) upright slab and block; lead lettering; ILMO Nita etc is broken from “who died March …”; both parts now on same site; headstone off plinth but on site buried in pine needles; top part stained.
3 = Desk tablet with tablet missing; broken fragments of headstone connection to TAYLER found and put on site – these have since gone missing (2009); two pieces of headstone found that may be for SIME put on site with fragments for TAYLER.
4 = White marble semi-circular upright slab; lead lettering; found buried and broken in several pieces; concrete plinth.
In general; this site is in need of some maintenance.
